7Summits Recognized as One of Milwaukee’s Best Places to Work in 2020
For the second straight year, the Milwaukee Business Journal has named 7Summits one of the Best Places to Work in 2020! 7Summits joined 14 other businesses honored in the “Medium” category, which celebrates companies that have between 50 and 99 local employees. Overall, 63 companies in southeastern Wisconsin, separated into five size-based groups, were honored out of more than 180 nominations.
7Summits’ exact ranking was announced on the Business Journal’s website during the week of October 26 and in the October 30 print issue. With a score of 90.64, 7Summits earned a spot as the 8th best place to work in Milwaukee for 2020. The newspaper also included an in-depth write up about our culture, highlighting the ways that we make sure employees know they are valued, popular perks, and what steps the company takes to foster a strong work environment.
To be selected as a winner, companies needed to have a high percentage of their employees complete an online survey. These employee responses are then analyzed to determine what local organizations set themselves apart as “Best Places to Work” in 2020.
7Summits’ distinction as a Best Place to Work means we have fostered a workplace that prioritizes several core areas including “personal engagement, communication and resources, teamwork, retention, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers and senior leaders, manager effectiveness, job satisfaction, and more.”
Using employee responses to questions related to these criteria, the Business Journal then selects winners in each size category.
This is the second time that 7Summits has been honored as a top workplace by the Milwaukee Business Journal, following up our first appearance in 2019. It represents the company’s fifth award already in 2020, including the third that directly rewards our employee-centered culture. Overall, the placement on the 2020 Best Places to Work list is the ninth celebration of 7Summits being a top place to work.
