Algonquin College is a Higher Education institution with three campuses in Canada and internationally. With over 3,000 full and part-time employees, Algonquin College recognized the need for a mobile-friendly faculty community to redefine the way they share information and engage employees. The College sought 7Summits’ services to support the planning, design and implementation of their new Salesforce community.
The community, myAC, replaced two legacy environments – myAlgonquin and Good Morning Algonquin. myAC has more than just a new look and feel; it is the preferred destination for information, collaboration and action. It is also designed to make employees’ work life at Algonquin College easier and more fulfilling.
myAC has many new features, including Chatter, groups, links to college information, featured news and events, a college employee directory, and single sign on capabilities. Chatter groups within the community are structured around Divisions, Schools, Departments, Committees, Topics and Social purposes. Users are able to join and follow these groups to see the latest updates and collaborate with colleagues.
One of the most notable new features is the community’s seamless user experience and responsive design, which makes it easily accessible on any device at any time.
