Utilizing Social For a Cause – Broadening Penfield’s Reach

Victoria Hubertz | August 29, 2013

For the past two years, 7Summits has been doing great work for a company we admire – Penfield Children’s Center. Penfield Children’s Center is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to help infants and young children with and without disabilities to reach their full potential through education, therapy services and family programs. Today, Penfield serves over 1,500 children annually, offering high quality integrated services and a safe and stimulating environment for children, families and community partners to maximize early development and learning.

In order to better assist families, Penfield partnered with 7Summits to broaden its online reach. We helped them implement a social media plan to cultivate awareness and keep Penfield’s audiences connected and engaged. Facebook was the first step in achieving these goals. 7Summits created the new Penfield Facebook presence to highlight personal stories with rich content, and include features such as online donations with Causes, which offers a variety of ways to make a difference. We also gave new life to Penfield’s website. 7Summits created an inviting space that showcases what matters the most – the stories of the children – and reflects learning and growth. By engaging visitors through powerful storytelling, 7Summits gave Penfield Children’s Center the online resources to grow and succeed. Check out Penfield’s website here: http://penfieldchildren.org/

Now, we have the opportunity to support Penfield on a personal level and you can help! As part of BizTimes’ Most Social Company competition – running now through September 13, Penfield has the opportunity to win a cash prize and ad package valued at more than $10,000!
